Luckily, I had been warned that the new arrangements for the songs I cherish would be reworked. The band was drowning her out with sound issues, and Roya had trouble delivering some of her lyrics due to breath control issues. It made for a slightly disappointing start, but luckily, it did not end there. Moving on to her Fugee set, it was uphill from there. I really enjoyed all the Fugee songs. However, I had seen her with the Fugees before, so that was not the show I expected. It was a decent show overall, but for Roya, decent is not enough. It was sad to have the fans wait 5 hours for a half representation of what we all loved. Not cool, Roya. I choose to hold on to my precious memories from the past and leave the present version of you. I would have loved to hear more of the original versions of her songs from the Miseducation CD.
